thanks for all the compliments guys

it is a mazda 323 GT-R (group a rally car) engine, which uses the same block as the stock escort motor. Everything from throttle body to turbine housing is stock mazda, except for the injectors and cams. it was a bolt-in swap until i gave up on the stock transmissions and converted to the toyota gearbox.

USDM escorts from 91+ have 100% of nothing in common with the cosworths of europe. its basically a fwd mazda 323/protege with different body panels. in addition to the drivetrain, the suspension, brakes, etc all interchange.

i dont really know what you mean by Manch (manchester? what state?) so i'm guessing that wasn't me lol

this was my 3rd year with the car running, and ive been going to the dragway all three years (although i think last year i only went to LVD). hopefully next year i can actually go more than once or twice without something breaking lol.

i fixed my slow spooling problem! it was NOT a clogged cat, unless it magically unclogged by sitting for a week... lol

i found some loose bolts on the blow off valve, which may have been creating a leak. i also snugged up all of my intercooler piping clamps, but they all seemed tight anyway. last but not least i pulled the wastegate off and reinstalled it with copper spray sealant, as there were signs of a minor exhaust leak there.
