Welcome. Nice 5.9. Used to own one of those beauties. Thing is a bear off the line.

I remember seeing a old very old motor trend adv with the 5.9 and it shows fire comming from the side of the truck and does something crazy at the time like 5 second 0 to 60 times.

The 5.9 was made only in 1998, production was 14,000 worldwide.

It makes 245hp/345tq stock, and had a 0-60 of 6.8 and a 1/4 time of around 15.0-15.1. It was the fastest SUV produced until Porsche came out with the Cayanne.

Plans are exhaust, roller rockers, throttle body, etc . . . much of the basic bolt ons. Maybe boost later on if I don't get sick of it and sell it first. The 5.9 Magnum responds very well to bolt ons, though.

These engines take boost very well. But what you really need is a 408 stroker. KRC built one that runs deep in the 11's. Or sell it to me so I can put it on the bottle.

nice, my boys ex-g/f had a 5.9, moved pretty good for what it was...drove it once at Penn State driving them all back from town drunk off their asses screaming at people so I stepped on it here and there to get home quicker, LOL. throw the juice on it and have some fun
