          Shop Day A Success!!!

So i finshed up the mods this afternoon and took the MS6 for a drive....

WOW. certianally not the +29 hp (AEM CAI) and +47hp (Unichip EMS) that the ads proclaim, but definitely a power increase. I'm sure the engine is producing 300+ now, you can really feel it. I havent activated map 2 of the Unichip yet, I'll see how that goes tomorrow.

Installs went ok, the Street Unit rear bone mount still has my eyebrows raised, it looked like it went in crooked..... but all bolted up and seems to be good.

The Street Unit test pipe went in fine, but i did need the torch on the OEM cat bolts. It looks like the rear angle that they put on the flange could be reduced, makes the joint sit a little lower than stock, not good if you bottom out.... but i think it still gives you plenty of ground clearance, not a big deal really.

The AEM intake was straight forward, doesnt make any loud noises when you step on it, its kinda quiet like the stock intake, I was surprised.

The turbosmart/su blow off valve is awesome. right out of the box it was dead on the money, no adjusting necessary. We will see in a couple of weeks once it breaks in.

Unichip- it certainly adds to the car, not quite as much as they claim i believe. Im thinking i really should have went with the CP-E so i could tune it myself, but on the other hand this is my DD so I didnt want to blow it up.

GHL- FedEx has it... due to arrive on tuesday or wednesday.....

Why is it always the part you are most looking forward to the one thats always late or backordered????

Anyway, other than a rough idle, the car is way better than stock and certainly has more ponies. I'm happy. Now its time for the SU stiff diff, HKS Pnp Ignition, and a better TMIC. maybe a new exhaust manifold and downpipe? Lets pay off some of the first mods.... then we will see.

If you are around the Fairways, then yes! otherwise its off to plaistow in the morning and back at dinner time. I try to get out of the apartment and go cruising whenever possible.... now that I think of it i have put 3500 miles on the car since i bought it in the beginning of july.....
