Hey guys whats up. My name is Ryan.
I just found out about this forum tonight, which is pretty inconvenient because i have been looking for an NH car enthusiast forum for a while now.
What makes me a car person you ask?
Well my "car" is a Black 1988 Mazda RX7 Turbo II. I bought it down in mass at about the end of august of last year. I daily drove it for a month and a half, put 1k miles on it. Some of you guys might have seen me driving it through manchvegas. I go to school at Manchester Central, so that pretty much narrows down the list of possibilities to me :P
The car is in absolute fantastic condition, new paint job, interior is excellent. No rust, exterior or engine bay. But the motor is dead. I did a compression test when i bought it, 85 front face, 55 rear. Technically my motor shouldn't of cranked over and belched to life, but i daily drove it fine with the occasional hot start flooding issue. It failed on me around the end of October.
My next plan of attack which is already in motion is to get the motor rebuilt, which i'm doing myself. After that i'm hoping to get a BNR Stage 3 turbo hybrid upgrade with some form of a standalone. I'd like to run a stock turbo and reliably hit 250whp. Full suspension upgrades eventually. I want this car to stay on par, and possibly outperform an FD in all aspects, while looking stock.
That's my story and thanks for reading. Hopefully i'll get to meet up with some people on the backroads or in person one day!
