from a mechanical stand point, the vast majority say fords are prone to problems, less common in the 'strokes. i once had an SVT Focus, the thing was nothing but a mechanical nightmare. then i told myself id never own another Ford...gas powered Ford that is

Ive had two SVTFs, totalled the first but the second was boosted and a few mods into it, I beat the snot out of it to 110k and only had wear and tear issues =P
Fords treated me well so far, so Im still heresigpic

i got a bad one, but ford didnt do anything about it, had the flywheel issues, went thru 3 clutches 2 flywheels and an axle in the 3 years i owned it. fun car to drive, fords not fun to deal with. my goal was to boost and build it, but with no faith in the tranny, i cut that idea short and traded it before things got worse
