    car is currently down had a small fire replacing clutch line and I snapped a plug in the head I have to remove the head to remove

                  Centerbolt valve covers FTW! Hope they're Vortec heads, if it's a post-'95 motor!

                  Welcome aboard, glad to have more V8 guys! Psst.....you need to fix your passenger side rear exhaust hanger!

                      Well, if it has the centerbolt valve covers, that means it's post 1987, or at least the heads are, and it's probably got a roller cam in it. The block casting numbers you need are on a pad behind the intake manifold, by the distributor, and you'll need to pull the valve covers to get the exact numbers to find out what heads you have. If you can get those numbers, I can get ya all kinds of info.
