    Dubbin in Maine

    Greetings,

Name's Justin. I had a fellow Tbricker mention something about the Kancamagus highway cruise and I came across this site in search for more information. Sounds like a blast!

I'm currently working on a '91 Volvo 944 Turbo Build. Hoping to get decent gains off a mild 15psi in my grandpa series daily driver. Heads currently off to Butler McMaster in Augusta. Hoping to have it all buttoned up before May so I can join you all on a nice cruise.

It gets a little lonely over here in Maine - not very many Turbo Brickerz on the east coast.

You know I'm not quite sure if he's a member here cause he was under the impression that it was going to be April 7th?

Nope, don't own any myself but work for a few of them. Sort of why I got into building a Volvo - my first one was meant to go to the crusher but got to hoonin around in it and decided I liked it. Unfortunately that particular car got me into some trouble and did find its way to the crusher.. took a nice chunk out of my pocket in legal fee's as well. Currently own a 86 744, 91 944, 92 944 & a Saab & a Subaru. The 91 940's the only car that I could consider remotely performance oriented though.

Not sure where April 7th came from, we only just announced the date 2 days ago. It's 05/19/13

Info on the spring cruise can be found here http://nemotorsport.com/boards/showt...930#post288930

YouTube search NEMotorSport kanc cruise or NEMs kanc cruise and you will find videos of our past cruises. We have been doing it twice a year since 2007

Did you ever host it previously in April? Maybe he's doing it with a different forum or he just wasn't sure of the actual date. He mentioned it weeks ago.

Man this post count limiter is hogwash poppycock!

Boosted I noticed you have a couple rabbits - my shop mate has a 80's diesel rabbit truck. He's getting 50mpg & its quite the little work horse!! Do you have any build thread links?

It may have been but you have.to worry about some of the roads in the area being open. A couple of the best roads are closed in the winter and depending on the.weather they are not open in April .

Your doing a better job then most to get your count up, a lot of people just welcome 10 people in the welcome section. And we are , how you going.to welcome someone that has been here 2-3 months before you?.. lol

Welcome to the site by the way

Yea, I have a 83 GTI that unfortunately rusted out. Picked up a 82 Diesel that ran and drove but ended up having a bad head. So I swapped everything from the Gti over but it hasn't worked right since. It's been kicking my ass for 6 months .

The build for the GTI is on Vortex but I have the Diesel on here http://nemotorsport.com/boards/showthread.php?t=11800

<---Also under my name there are links to there garage with some pictures of both.

Thank you - Glad to see there's some Volvo people here. I almost feel out of my realm a little bit. Never really posted on a general car Forum. I'm feeling the need to ridicule already. Good to see that generally people have good taste here. Its just too much fun to be sleeper status & upset people who have 'bought cars' and not 'built ones'. But I should bite my tongue I'm no auto guru here and I generally don't like change.

Variety is the spice of life!

Too bad about the rust! Here's my buddy's truck, it came form Oregon so its rust free. Stays heated and safe all winter!

                              Here's my First Volvo (1989 744T)

                              Second Volvo (86 744 GLE)

                              Third Volvo (91 940T)

                              Fourth Volvo (91 940T)

I've got Volvo Fever.. Definitely like the Boxier pre 90's 7 series look over the 9's.
