Second person I've seen underwhelmed by a Focus ST. I don't get it, is there massive turbo lag or something?

Op. congrats on the new car, what made you buy it? What is your opinion of it overall?

When I heard they were coming to the states I started to follow the progress and dates etc. I went and looked at them about a month or so after they hit the showroom and fell in love. I honestly think it's a great car not too laggy only complaint is lack of traction. hahaha

I actually test drove a Tangerine Scream Focus ST back in April. Ferocious torque steer and more than enough power. The reason why I didn't but it was because 1.)Those Recaro seats were real butt-pinchers and took a lot away from the fun driving experience and 2). Found out from the salesman that the STs came from the factory with only summer tires, which means you have to buy separate 4 season tires to properly drive/enjoy the car year round. Those two factors made me buy a Fusion instead.

My Fusion came equipped with all season 17 inchers- and that car was actually CHEAPER to buy than the Focus ST.

You have to consider OPERATING and MAINTENANCE COSTS when you make vehicle purchases nowadays.

the ST's have 18 inch wheels. I just don't drive it in the winter. problem solved.
