not sure if there is a huge difference between 3.6, 3.8 and 4.0 admin panels, but it just seems to the point in the tabs and better organized. I have classic, i want to upgrade though so i can have a nicer home page. Funny thing about the change lol.. Under our old ownership we had "more chiefs than indians" lol. One of our techs was messing around with some server files and got our host mixed with another. It was so messed up that we had to start the site from scratch. The previous owners which are my good friends are all old (30's hahaha, not to offend anyone) and didn't want to bother with it anymore. sooo they handed over the ownership to me and now it's running on 4.0. So yeah, couldn't tell you about the transfer lol

      thanks sleeper!

Haha, yea I am not techy at all and am totally self taught just by playing with the site over the last few years. It's a wonder I haven't crashed it yet..lol I need like a vbulliton for dummies book..lol but having to start over again is my biggest worry, I'd hate to loose everything and start over again.

          Just found this..

From time to time it will be necessary to upgrade your vBulletin installation to the latest version, either to gain new features or to fix newly discovered bugs in PHP, MySQL or vBulletin itself.

You can upgrade to the latest version of vBulletin 4 from the following vBulletin versions:Any previous version of vBulletin 4, from version 4.0.0 Beta 1 to the current version.
Any version of vBulletin 3 from version 3.6.0 and newer. If your vBulletin version is older than 3.8.0, it is recommended that you upgrade to at least vBulletin 3.8.0 before you can upgrade to vBulletin 4.
So I guess that answers my question..

My biggest issue with upgrading right now is I don't have the license password from the original owner, and he is in Texas now and his number has changed. Working on getting a hold of him because I need to upload that new patch that just.came out to fix the issues they found. Been have server load issues also that I'm hoping going to 3.8 may help with.

So back to cars... what's done to the balt and the SS?

ahh, thats no good lol. Hopefully you can work everything out. I got lucky from when the site went down. I was able to get vbull for myself as well with the server and host, so i have all the info. Well the car has a loooong history and a ton of mods, I'll just make a build thread here soon. The truck has some minor bolt ons. K&N intake, cat back MagnaFlow exhaust with the resonators cut off, lowered. Soon I'm going to be hooking up HPT to it and see what i can do from the stock tune.

Love it! It has silly power for a SUV. Scared me a little bit when i hammered it around a turn lol. Not use to the back end coming out on me, guess thats what happens when I drive FWD all the time lol. It's very nice though, lots of room, memory seating along with mirrors, depending on options and all you get certain features. We love it, she loves the power and I like how it can tow my car around (if) it breaks lol.
