    My Introduction

    Hi all,
    Here is my introduction.
I own a 2003 Subaru WRX Impreza Sedan. Here is what's been done so far:
My ride: 17x8 Motegi Trak Lite wheels shod with Goodyear Eagle F1's
dba slotted front rotors (rears coming)
    Hawk Pads
    K&N Short ram intake
Invidia Divorced Wastegate high flow Catted Downpipe
    Invidia Catback N1 exhaust
    prodrive lowering springs
    AEM EUGO Wideband Sensor
Halman Pro RX Manual Boost Controller
Open Source Tune by my friend Alex (18" Boost)
    Est 287 - 302hp with tune
Whiteline bushings and lower control arm links
    shaved badges
    Grillcraft upper front grill
Zero Sports Carbon Fiber Wing Risers
    Black Flame Customs Bi-Xenon headlights
    HT Auto Lower front lip
    prodrive shift knob

I'm looking to take my car to the next level so up next will be an STi Fuel pump, Deatsch Werks 650 injectors, Forced Performance FP-Green Turbo, another round of Open Source Tuning and a clutch upgrade (yet to be selected). I'll see what I can post for photos next.

Welcome to the site, nice wip! I have a set of helix 660's I got for my forester but I messed up and they are top feed. I don't know what your's are.. but I need to get rid of them so I can buy side feeds. They are used, bought them with my turbo set up, they have 20,000 miles on them.

Welcome Ian!! Bout time. Ian is one of my original flight instructors from way back. I remember when he bought his bug eye brand new and brought it to work. One of the first around. She's come a long way and will surely only get better!

Can't wait for the next round of mods

Welcome to the site Have you looked into the HTA Green? They are getting some real strong results at people coming up with 400whp and more depending on supporting mods and tune, again welcome

The green may not be an option anymore anyway. They don't have any and looks like they may not make anymore 2.4" ones. Odds are it may end up with an 18g. The 20's make awesome power, but the lag on a 2.0 may not make it worth it. 18 makes more power then a typical VFxx setup at the same boost, and has more headroom to grow down the road. Goal is 300/300 wheel for now. Transmission is the next hurdle, then more power

Alex they replaced the standard green with the HTA green with the 2.4" now. If his over all goal is 300whp the green would be way over kill for that plus like you said there would be alot more lag with the 2.0L

Well, lets not get to hasty with setting a power goal. The 300whp/300wtq is a conservative "norm" that everyone abides by to keep the WRX glass gears in check. That being said, Ian is not a kid, a boy racer (maybe at heart), or out to beat the jesus-H out of his car. Not to mention he's educated himself enough to know the limitations of each setup. The Green is what I'd love to see in there for the future. Shooting for the "do it once" mentality here. I'm thinking down the road 350whp would be perfect in that car. That being said, the 18G's and any VF will be huffing and puffing themselves to the limit to reach that, and even then will taper boost like no ones business (even PnP'd, EWG'd, etc.) The green can do it with ~20psi and not require my tune to be on the ragged edge. (It is a daily afterall).

Lag may be the issue though. The green won't be anywhere near as "punchy" as an 18G or any TD05 turbine based turbo.

Blouch 18G-XT may be much better suited for the goals of his car...... Then again, Lets hear some other options, I'm always game to learn something new!!

Oh and sorry for bogarding your intro thread Ian
