Id prob need bigger injectors to run 100+ ? Only have 780cc and u need 1000+ to run e85 which is about 104 oct

I wouldn't think that octane alone means you need bigger injectors...all Octane is is a fuel's resistance to combustibility. Higher octane means less detonation, timing can be advanced accordingly. I know the difference between 91 Octane and 100 Octane in my car....the timing can be advanced like crazy...you can hear it in the exhaust note, how the car pulls, etc. Way different animal.1965 Ford F100, 289, 4-speed Toploader, 3.25:1 9-inch rear

the higher octane of e85 isnt why you need to run bigger injectors, it is the lower heating value that causes you to need bigger injectors because e85 needs more units of fuel per unit of air to make a stoich mixture, which is 9.7ish if i recall correctly. You need about 40-44% more fuel if i am remembering right.Comment
