so I know I need a front license plate but do you know if we are allowed to have a hinged one that will swing up around 25 mph and not be visible, cause I gave my mount away and find this one to be interesting and one of the few I can buy for cheap

I'm not sure of the exact law other than you need one. But, ive been stopped 7 times for no front plate and gotten a warning all 7 times.89 mustang gt- Twin turbo street car

in my experience:
i went without a plate on my old jeep for a while without getting pulled over
my friends who put it on their dash, always got pulled over
my jimmy-rigged "mount" i have now, never got pulled over for it, and its been that way for years.
so, although maybe illegal, you might get away with your 007 hinge~Ryan

No plate for my new bumper I'm getting a hide away from Swift motorsport.
They have 2 types, one you have to do by hand and one that uses a keyfob.

$150 ticket for a non visible front license plate. also adds points on your license, and in some people's cases, can make you lose your license. i know.
