NH HID conversion laws

HIDs (no matter what they are) are illegal on a car unless it comes factory for the car, IE lexus, navigators, etc....i 1992 honda civic could technically get a ticket for having HIDs, and potentially fail inspection for not having the OEM or OEM specific parts installed...just an FYI (whether its truely inforced or not)

Im just going off what officer Chris Crater told me, they are legal if they put out 4300k or 6000k

Yes its the color, a buddy of mine got pulled over because you can't have yellow low beams.

i dun think u can have 3000k for headlights. u can have it for foglights though

To have a legal HID conversion you must have Projection headlight concersion. If your car has the projectors and just not have the HID option (like a 350Z base model) then you can add HID up to 4300K which is factory spec. But you must have your headlights re-adjusted for legal limits.

this is simply not true. ALL HID headlight conversions are legal in NH. "HID LOOK" bulbs that make your headlights blue are not.

in short. If it has ballasts, it's legal.

The pink and yellow ones look stupid. Blue's not so bad. I can see fine with my headlights and cracked housing. I never understood the point of HID conversions....

you serious? when i put my bi xenon 6000k in its like a bright sunny day in front of me compared to looking out holding a candle with regular rights

I say spray your lenses blue and call it a day... Hids are expensive and overrated.. Um 3 bucks for a halogen bulb or 300 for a hid one... You do the math.
