Im back

Ya Im back, not the way I want too though, I left over a month ago and just got back to civilian life tonite at midnight. Bootcamp was fun, 4th day I got there they found out I had mono, and it sucked, I was devestated...my dream was ruined. I was kept there the whole entire time. Still trained, still woke up, still drilled, still did everything with mono. The Mariens are hardcore and you jsut suck it up, it was tough but I did it. So I was honorably discharged from the Marines effective today. My experience was great leared a lot and went through a #!#!#!#! ton, it was very tough mentally and none of you will ever know what I went through and I could never explain it because you wouldn't understand, but just know I didn't quit, they sent me home. So I can go back in 6 month, I probably won't but im gonna go back sometime in my life. You really don't realize what you have in life until you do something like that, I sure as hell didnt realize it. I wouldn't reccomend joining the Marines if you have a good life, but its an experience. Trust me I feel dumb for leaving all of you and my amazing life back here, but thankfully I had a second chance ot enjoy life now. I served my country for a little over a month and learned a lot, that can't be taken away from me, and Im happy with that because I didn't quit. Anyways thought Id tell you all im back. Going to live up life now, buying a PS3 and a flat screen tomorrow with all my government pay. Peace guys good to be home see you all as soon as I get adjust to the civilian life and world again.

I didn't think I could do it either, little rich kid from NH whos never been away from home or gone through anything like that...yaaaa I was suprised I made it, but I had the willpower and the motivation to not let myself down and people back here, I knew if I quit I wouldn't be able to live a normal life after, I feel bad now for having to be back, but I didnt quit so I feel decent.

Chris, government pay sucks, but I was down there for like 32-35 days, and the first month you make #!#!#!#! because you have to pay for a lot of gear, haircuts, and meals, not up front its all deducted out of your pay to begin with and everything works direct deposit. I didn't think I was leaving with a lot of money, but pretty much, I slept in a warm bed, had everything I needed to survive, ate 3 very squared good meals a day, and had sometimes just sat around because of my condition. You get paid on the 1st and 15th of every month, I still am expecting a lot of money, and settlement sum, but so far I have 550 dollars, from getting paid between those 15 days. As I said, bestbuy or ccity hitup today for a TV and a PS3 haha, Ill see you guys tonite definitely if your going out, Ill let you guys know everything I have to many stories, later.

welcome back buddy. i had heard through the grapevine that you had mono and were being sent home. sent you a text about a week ago because i was at the recruiting center filling out more paper work for the air force and thought i saw you there. im proud of you for sticking it out and busting ass through basic even though you had mono. that had to be very difficult. hope to see you soon dude. if you get hungry im at sals in hooksett today so feel free to stop by!

Welcome back! Thanks for making the choice to sign up and sticking it out untill they wouldn't let ya do it anymore. Boot camp is an experiance that only someone that's been through it will ever have. Even if you don't go back when they let you, you'll have things that you learned for the rest of your life.
