    Kangamangus Run- Chat Thread

    That was awesome, wish we could have gone down the kank some more than we did but hurricane hill was cool listenin to the turbine spool going up the hill, just wish my truck handled a bit better. home and dry, made it all but prolly 10 miles no rain all day, burned 20 gallons of that 93 octane today, yes my ass hurts, not just from the price of gas but that hard plastic seat, thanks to all, hope to do it again in the fall, but i'll take my bike next time.

              Well, I was driving along normally, when all of a sudden I hear a few small noises, and then all of a sudden I hear scraping. I'm like #!#!#!#! and pull over ASAP thinking it was that same intercooler pipe, and I knew if I blew it off and ran it over AGAIN, I'd be ****ed driving home (possible but it'd suck).

              So I pop the hood and look around, and all the piping is perfect. Confused, I look under the car and see this:

              ****.

              The exhaust hanger the shop put on is the kind that bolts into the undercarriage. The bolt backed itself out. So I get the jack and lift the exhaust back up. Then I try screwing the bolt in, just to find out that there is a TON of play in it.. so I screw it in anyways and start the car. Bolt immediately basically drops out.

              Next I tried coating the bolt threads in RTV (had it in the back ) and letting it sit. Worked for a 1/4th mile, and then fell out again.

              So... I finally found my DIY Exhaust Hanger kit in the trunk...

              ...

              ..

              So then my exhaust was all better for the ride home;

              lol, yeah, I'm a Saturn owner.

                    glad to hear it was nice!!! myself and a few others decided to vag out at the last minute because of the possible rain and we didn't want to get caught with the bikes. radar showed sh*t loads of rain clouds that kept coming our way but it seems every one broke down by the time it hit nh. oh well though, maybe the next one we do will be a better situation. i didn't want to take the car.

                      It really was the perfect day up there. We had 0 rain untill we hit hooksett area on the way home. It was a real decent showing of people. Much more than what just about everyone was thinking.

                        agreed, the 15 minutes of rain was well worth the 7 hours of non rain, i definately would have sucked on a motorcycle but oh well. can't wait to see some pictures, i only took 4 with my cell phone and they are too big to fit on here, i'm going to try to shrink them so i can post them though.
