yea there were three cops on the other side of the road right in front of Robbins Auto parts. I looked over cause of all the pretty blue lights lol and everyone in front of me stopped. I had to stop quick (was only doing 20-25mph) but no anti-lock breaks so they locked up a squeeled and I got pulled over yelled at by the traffic cop and got two tickets. One for unsafe vechicle (aka too low) and one for too fast for the conditions. Both Must Appear in Court
Not realy sure why I got must appear.

I wasnt speeding, I stopped in time, just happened to look at the blue lights.

The too low wasnt for my bumper though, but because at full lock my tire just barely touches the fender and he put I cant turn my wheel on the ticket

On the driving too fast for the conditions, he doesnt have a speed on there, but I chcked the RSA and it says over 26mph over the legal limit or the limit for the condition is must appear. And well I wasnt even doing 26 in general lol

As for the too low, well I dont get why thats must appear too?

I dont know if I should be expecting to loose my license or what

somehow i got a state trooper fired because he yelled at me in a court (not in the room) and i wrote a letter to the state saying what he did.

i wasnt even there to see him about the ticket he gave me

He was just all pissy cause my car was too low and I locked up my breaks blah blah could have caused and accident. Which I get which is why I sat there saying Im sorry cause I knew I shouldnt have looked at the lights lol, the other two cops loved my car btw :P

I'm suprised its a must appear and not a fix it ticket. Just raise the car and take many pictures showing that it's not to low. I'd probably put it to stock ride height and just prove that its back to stock height. Curious as to what the outcome will be.

Yea, Im gonna go all the way up on the coilovers and drive it there, and have pics with me.

We figured out too low ticket is normaly $43 or something like that, so idk bout this must appear crap. Will find out June 23rd

I would say more then likely nothing will happen for either one. He didn't give you a ticket for being to low , I don't think I would even worry about jacking the car up super high. We measured your car its legal , and if its jacked up there going to know you are lying and just jacket it up. Take picks of just the wheels at full lock how it sits now to show what the officer was saying was un safe. Throw another set of wheels on , lift it a little if you need to . Make sure there is no rubbing and tell them you had just borrowed those wheels from a friend . You were going to buy them but after finding that they rubbed and getting a ticket you put you own wheels back on and this is how it sits now.

There not going to go outside to look at your car, they don't have time . But the officer could see it if you can't get it thrown out at the arrangement and you have to take it to trial . I would leave the car at home.

Talk to the prosecutor tell him exactly what happened, and that you don't understand why they say you car is unsafe . Nothing is broken , you actually just came back from N Carolina (or wherever) 1200 mile road trip with no issues . You understand the officers concern for the tires but they only rub turning into a parking space (aka full-lock) "on occasion" (show pics) . And that was only because of the wheels you were borrowing . You have since then but your own wheels back on the car and there is no rubbing issue. Show pics ..

Take pictures with a time stamp to show that pics are current even know the time stamp is changeable ..lol it will still help show a time line with your story .

What are the.actual RSA's? Cause that's what he really gave you, and that is what the ticket is for. It doesn't matter that he ment that the car was to low. He.gave you unsafe vehicle do to not being able to turn your wheel. All you have.to show is that you can in fact turn your wheel.

Oh and dress nice, suite coat and tie. It shows you respect the system and are taking it seriously. They will also take you more serious and maybe..... believe you.

my opinion is to make sure you dont press the issue too much... doing so could make them "dust of the old books" and with new hampshire law, any modification beyond original specs is not legal. happened to a buddy of mine and they tagged him with 32 offenses. your best bet, seeing as you were not speeding or doing anything illegal for that matter, would be to explain the situation to the prosecutor in a mediation beforehand. generally they will work with you and at most, i cant see you getting more than a year "probation" in which if you keep a clean record, it goes away, however you do the opposite, and then they retry. kinda hard to give a good explanation ATM but ive been through the courts with auto-related subjects more times than i could even remember (and still have a good record lol)

but like i said, talk it out with the prosecutor either before your court date or directly before your hearing. (the earlier the better obviously) explain to him how you did nothing illegal. your car in all purposes is safe, legal, and inspectable. as far as locking your tires up, is it a crime for stopping quickly so you dont crash into someone?
