Cruise to Newtown, CT and toy drive.

Steve invited me, but with the drive being postponed from 12/22 to most likely the first week of April, I thought it could be great if we could get a bunch of us together for a spring cruise for a great cause.

This is normally the week I pull the summer tires out and get them slapped on the car.

Who else is up for a drive to bring some love down to CT?

Yeah, but if you think about it, it's less than 4 hours one way. So one tank of gas (maybe 2). If you can't save enough money for a tank of gas and a toy by April...

Google Maps says its only 2.5 hrs one way so that should make it easier for people to come.

I probably could if I'm around, if not at least give someone else a toy to donate for me. Why a toy drive though? (didn't see the original invites) That's right after easter, maybe easter baskets or something???

Going to edit the first post again, as the date has changed one last time to the 14th. It may also be more of a cash donation instead of toys, as people have made good points about giving a toy to a kid who's twin or sibling was killed.

Nope, it's been changed a bit. They're nixing the toys as it'll be later in the year. They were asked by the local police to push it back.

EDIT: I tried to change the title to charity cruise instead of toy drive but it didn't work I guess.
