Am I the only one who thought the dyno acted a little strange ?

My car does 402/378 on a Mustang dyno ( a low reading one )
It does over 425/390 on a Dynojet
On Kinetics dyno it did 364/370 ?

They couldn't really tell me why my car only made 364 on their dyno when I showed them my Mustang dyno graph. I think the guy operating the dyno said something about heavier than normal rollers, and something about the configuration of their dyno.

Its only a number I guess, but just thought it was odd. Track tells the whole truth.

Overall I had a good time and got to see some sweet cars and met some cool guys from this board.

Just spoke with my tuner and he said the dyno run should have been done in 4th gear and not 3rd. My 4th gear is my 1:1 ratio.

Also, I just looked at my dyno graph and he didnt even bring my car to redline. the dyno run stopped at 6100 rpms.

Now I know why I dynoed so low.

              /sigh

I dyno'd in 2nd... who knows what I should have been in. Probably 3rd but they were having a hard time strapping me in so I didn't really want to go fast. Car was walking a little. Also I don't believe.the dyno guy was there. The.guy who drove.the.cars.was.the.new owner mike. The tuner is rick .

Ok. First of all the only way I was able to post here was to "reply with quote". Everything else I did kept saying invalid event specified when I clicked submit!

11 vehicles dyno'd is what Kevin told me before he left.

Mylswon, I also thought something was up with dyno, and when I was talking to Brett, he thought his numbers were low too.

I dyno'd last year on a Dynojet @ 289/320 on 21lbs of boost. My new tune is much more aggressive on 25lbs of boost and myself and several of my friends who know the car fully expected a number between 310-320whp. 284whp was a bit of a heartbreaker!

A friend has a similar tune to mine on his Cobalt, and the only real difference between our cars is he's on 23lbs and has a catless DP, while I'm on 25lbs with stock DP. He dyno's at Performance Dyno in Concord in higher temps this summer and put down 303whp.

I dunno. I know it's just a number, but I really wanted to break 300. Next mod is a downpipe for me!

Something was definitely off I think. My buddy with the modded 09 WRX put down stock numbers.

Hope nobody feels bad about the low reading numbers. Its just a tuning tool anyways..

That car was sweet. Good power for such a small car. It must be fun on the street. Also, I thought I heard someone say you have another one with a turbo ? More details please.

pm me if you don't want to clutter the thread.
