You don't get to go all out first pass, you have to slowly make your way up there and have to pass different tech inspections as you go.

A guy I know did 200+ in his DSM and got booted, I'll try to find the video. The visuals aren't anything, but the audio is quite comical.

Edit: he did 208, here's the vid

What is the difference if he wrecks at 160 or 200? It is a pretty bad day either way if he wrecked at either speed.

OMG!!! do i get kicked out if my vehicle lifts off and enters orbit?

but in all seriousness...this sounds SICK! i just dont know if i would drive 6 hours to see how fast my car can go...and then 6 hours back...

it's a long tow back home if the car breaks...

Even if you didn't enter, it would still be pretty awesome to see some outrageous cars hitting warp drive. This will be sort of like the East Coast's answer to the Bonneville Salt Flats...well sort of.

I just can't justify the drive time. Anything over an 2 hours away I'd have to tow the CRX.

...if you are referring to the 2 day autocross event then all I have to say is that once you've seen the huge amount of available pavement for courses every minute of the drive would have been worth it. I just returned from a visit up there and the drive isn't that bad, it goes by pretty quick as I-95 takes you up to Houlton and then Route 1 is mostly 55 mph up to Caribou/Limestone. I've witnessed first hand the size of the place. The runway alone is 300 feet wide and 11,000 feet long and can support 4 autocross courses. The end taxiway/aircraft turn around area where one of our courses will be is 500 feet wide by 1700 feet long. This place makes Devens look like a mall parking lot. It's a long weekend granted but it's a one time event for the whole year.
