    Party Sub Eating Contest

    DATE: 12/6/09
TIME: 8:30PM meet, 9PM start eating
    PLACE: USA Subs Salem

    Details:
It's been a while in the making.
Basically, a few members are proud of how much they can eat.
That, coupled with seeing one of my shop's party subs... equals party sub eating contest.

    THE CHALLENGE
1 FOOT long of party sub, roughly 7.5" wide, 3 inches thick.
    Time frame: 1 hour

    COST: $18
Covers cost of food as well as 1 beverage (except energy drinks)
As always I will offer free Sammy's lemonade to all attendees (in contest or not)
I will keep the register open for any ''viewers/spectators" that wish to buy drinks, chips or desserts while they watch the others pig out.
I can't however keep the shop open, as I need it cleaned up by 9 by the staff. But anyone who wants to eat dinner there while the others chow down can order a sub early on and I will hold it till you get there. Will make any orders up till 7:45pm.

THE FOOD: Subs will be made to order since not everyone likes everything.
I will weigh out and make sure they are all even across the board.
Sub types will be (including lettuce):
    Italian (Mortodella, Genoa, Pepperoni)
    Ham
    Turkey
    Roast Beef
    USA (Roast beef/ham/turkey)
    American (ham/soft salami/bologna)

ALL ENTRANTS MUST PLACE ORDERS AHEAD OF TIME!
I need to slice enough meat/cheese and braid/bake enough bread ahead of time.
I can take orders anytime at the store, or you can call it in to me with a credit card. If you need to pay over the phone with credit card, just PM me and request my number.
I am available at the shop:
    Monday/Wednesday/Thursday 11am-10pm
    Tuesday/Friday 10am-7pm
    Sunday 9am-5pm
Shop address is 354 N. Broadway Salem NH 03079

    PRIZE:
See post on page 2, post 2.

you should have a pool of money set up like an extra 3 or 4 dollars per person, and the winner takes that home. that would make things interesting. and maybe other prizes for 2nd and 3rd place. and include a thing of tums with each winner. hahaha

I know it won't help many, but I have the ability to give ONE GM performance/fuel economy tune, AT COST to the winner. On most tunes that means $160 instead of over $200. If that helps you can consider that a prize.

Good idea with the cash pool. Maybe we can just have people put in cash at the event itself?

Tums is a funny idea lol.

"thatguy" - food choices are listed in the top post. Hot subs are not available on party subs. Or did you mean you want that and just want to watch? That helps me though, now I need to state anyone RSVPing is for party sub contestants only, if you want to come watch and maybe even order just a sub to eat while watching, please don't RSVP just PM me or post here. Editing post now to clear that up.

Also - originally we planned on lettuce and tomato, and I think maybe pickles. But everyone has to have the same veggies. I am personally thinking just lettuce because nearly everyone eats lettuce. What do you guys think? Once decided I'll add that to the post.

Justin and Steve already paid up.

Eric tried to call me but I got his message late, so I have to call him tomorrow to get him paid.

I added to the top post that there will be lettuce on all subs to keep the playing field even.
Too many people won't eat certain veggies so we're going with just lettuce.

Personally I think Griff is going to take the cake, er, sub. Followed by Justin, screaming in pain...lol.
