The UConn Car Club invites you to come and be a part of our
6th Annual Spring Car Show on Sunday, April 19, 2009!

The show is Sunday. We do not have a rain date this year so the show is on REGARDLESS OF THE WEATHER

    In accordance with university regulations,
there is to be NO ALCOHOL at the car show.
The police will enforce the open container law.

We like to promote a safe and enjoyable environment for people of all ages.
There is to be NO SHOWBOATING at the car show.
This means NO BURNOUTS and NO SPEEDING both in the lot and around campus.
The police will be at the show to enforce this. Drive slowly when arriving at and leaving the show. The campus has many pedestrians, so please be careful when driving around the area.

For those of you who have yet to experience a UConn Car Club show, we tend to draw a very large and diverse crowd. Anyone who has been to one of our previous events can attest that there is something for everyone. Whether its Classics, Domestics, Imports, Euros, Trucks, or even supercars that you are into, we promise that you won't leave disappointed. Check out the pictures from our 2006 show and see for yourself or ask anyone who has been to any of our shows!

    Your Input Needed
Have any ideas for our show? Anything from previous shows you would like included or excluded? Any questions, concerns or comments for us? Please let us know! We have a forum setup on our website where you can discuss anything show related WITHOUT having to register. Just follow the link here and enter the password which is UC3. You can also find the planning forum at the top of our forum page here. The only way to make our show better is from the input we get and we'll do our best to incorporate as many ideas as possible.

    Judging
The majority of the judging process will be in the hands of the participants this year, allowing those entered to get the most out of the show by directly voting on their favorite cars. Voting will be done using a ballot system and will begin at 12:00pm.

    Parking
There is space for approximately 600 cars in the lot. Arrive early (but not earlier than 9:30am) to ensure yourself a spot. If you want to park with your friends, arrive early and as a group. Note: There will be areas for each major group of classes, so don't plan to park with your minitruck buddy if you drive an import. We'll let groups park together, but have to maintain some order to the show to make it eaiser for voting

    Competitions/Events
Loudest - Entrants will rev their engine 3 times. Crowd desides who is the loudest!
We MAY have scales available to weigh and corner weight vehicles

    Food
This year we are providing everyone with a nice variety of food. Lizzie's Cuisine (the cart by Arjona) will be there as always, as will Dominos Pizza.

    Sponsors/Vendors
If you are interested in being a sponsor of or a vendor at the show, please contact us for further details. If you wish to have advertisements put in our participant goodie bags, we need 650 copies by April 10.

    More Info
There will be porta-potties on premises this year.
There will be background music, but the playist will be a better fit to the show and will be much quieter.

There is a Boston caravan meeting up on the pike at the Framingham rest stop. Mostly 350/370Z, G35/37, and GT-R's (EVO X & Yamaha R1 as well).

Time is still TBD but probably leave around 8:15-8:30am to get to the show when it starts at 9:30am.

Went pretty well. No azzhatz really. Just a lot of revving motors.
Got some good pics. I saw a Subie crowd with NEmotorsport stickers, but couldn't find the owners.
