Actually someone like Summit might be interested in helping a bit. I'm going to draft up an email and start sending them out to all kind of places, because who knows who might be interested. Jason just got the confirmation, the dates are an official go, and he is meeting with the Pound this weekend to discuss everything.

      HAMMAH DOWWWN BOYS!!

sounds sick. two cruises and a show each year. this could be wicked!

ya, im sure that there will be plenty of people interested in sponsoring especially if we can take (try to at least) it to bike week levels. bike weeks name is all over weirs beach so im sure that will have some clout as well. now we just need everyone that has connections to use em!

big dealerships might help out too: tilton places, autofair, maybe the porsche dealership!

          Ya update:
As Justin mentioned I did get the official go ahead on the dates. Meeting with them to discuss exactly what events they will support/agree to. Especially since we have to have insurance to cover them.
So again most events will be a go that are simple (trivia, food eating, blah blah blah). Im digging the idea of interviewing a few people and their rides, although what i think when it would be best to do this is when trophies are handed out... i mean its annoying when you hear peoples names during trophies but you are always like "what ride was that?" Have the ride driven up to collect the trophies and have the owner list some of the info, see the ride in person, and then know why they deserve the trophy they recieved.
Also most of the show or events we would need to keep somewhat rated pg-13 since it is a huge tourist area and kids may attend.
We may have a pretty decent size beer tent put up as well. if anyone has attended bike week they know the tent im talking about.
Also I know we have mixed feelings here on a "weekend show". Honestly I have been in the scene 10 years and anyone attending a one day event knows judges and everyone is always in a rush to quickly judge vehicles. How many shows and judges take the time to discuss with the owner all of the mods done to the car/truck? Thats the reason weekend works best in my opinion. Having the opportunity to take your time talking to owners and making fair judging would make all the difference and gives us a second day to look over any discrepencies.

Plus you have to consider the second day will increase cost but at the same time it's a lot more worthwhile for vendors to come out for a two day show especially if the draw is a strong one (it will be, we already had a bunch of people confirmed for the show before the show itself was, haha...)

Ultimately the show being for charity influences a lot of decisionmaking as well, we'll do whatever we can to maximize the donation.

I'd be willing to ask my father about maybe bringing down some cars to show off or something. But this is gotta be a serious thing, like if we say we are going to do this then it dosent happen he's gonna be pissed! Lol.

Not sure what you are doing for music but he just bought WGIR last year (rock 101). So I could ask him that too if intrsted.

radio station would be cool......alot of them advertise shows and whatnot.... they could advertise on the waves for like a month or two ahead of time..... then put in the newspapers for additional "spreading of the word" (concord monitor, citizen, post online, etc..... the more people know about it, the more will come......

Yeah I am working on something with the Union Leader right now Kyle, we just need a few more details worked out before we can start compiling anything like that. These details will hopefully be established this weekend.

And Tyler, Rock 101 would be awesome, we have someone who used to work for 94.1/105.5 so that'd give us a pretty even spread of music variety.

Does anyone know of people that can make us a small flyer or 6x8 postcard or something for advertising? Looking to keep costs down, cheap is good, free is better, but any suggestions are welcome.

Tyler, this is definitely serious. Having rock 101 show up, or even just advertise on the air for us would be awesome! As well as having your dad get a few cars up there.

As far as the flyers, anyone have any ideas? I mean...we could design something ourselves (cough make graffix do it cough) but it's not cheap to print out that kind of stuff.

I believe one of the LLC guys is also making a flyer. We are also looking for a sponsor to help pay for the flyers. Theres nothing wrong with having a few different flyers to pass out!
