Little Portugal...my old stomping grounds. For anyone who hasn't been, Colt State Park is an awesome park and it's BEAUTIFUL! There's a number of different areas to lounge, some right on the bay, and just the drive through is worth the visit if you're in the area.

For anyone who goes, make it a point to hit Quido's for some RI clam cakes. It's just up the road from the parks back entrance...it's worth it.

There's been talk about prices going down over the summer...though who knows.

Yeah Tim, definitely check out Quido's if you're close. Not sure where you live exactly but the other place I'll recommend is Eats in Seekonk for the hot weiners. Those are the two places I stop whenever I'm down to visit. A man could survive on those two foods alone.

In case you've never had hot weiners, when you order them, get them "all the way"...

...now wait for the comments to roll in.

lmao. Haha yah ive got the RI "hot weiners" before *ducks for gay comments*

And yah supposedly we are "tapping into emergency reserves" of oil for this summer due to the speculation of such high prices. So hopefully they will stay under $4.00

Mileage in the miata can't be that bad. I drove to seekonk and back on a half a tank in the Gti . It will run you 10 gallons of gas for the day if you get 25mpg. Google maps says 122miles from hooksett, 2hr 11min drive .

                  Sounds like a good time

I've clocked Manch to Bristol in 1hr 45min. It's a fun ride going through Prov; a few nice windy parts. Mass roads suck, but last I checked, 95 is better than 93. I may try to make this for a few but it'll likely be in the Tahoe because I'm still trying to figure out what to do about the Sup.

As a whole, 95 is better then 93. They both fairly suck.

95 is like riding on a cloud compared to 93. We(all the slammed VW's ) always take 95 to seekonk and there is no issues , I only bottomed out once in the rabbit and that's really only because me and john were flying through one section .

We should try to set up a cruise to go down .

                          I love Colt!
However, I usually use the grass for the Saab meets. It's usually better with the row of trees against the wall, and picnic tables/bbq.
                          The ride down is great.
I usually take 146/95/195/116(I think it's 116) the last 10-miles are slow, but the rest of the way is fast. usually takes me less than an hour to get there, and colt is a nice-enough place that you'll want to hang out all day. There's a public beach if it happens to get warm-enough, and just "hanging out" is always fun-enough.

Ill keep everyone updated but due to the expected number of people coming, we may be relocating to the grassy area in the park to accomodate more cars/people.

For anyone interested we ARE relocating to the Grassy Area near the "Castle" to accomodate a larger crowd. We have over 220 confirmed attending already just on Facebook alone.
