Monday Night Cruise Nights - Newport, NH

Every Monday Night, starting on 5/9/11

Hosted by The Carnutz Car Club - www.carnutznh.com

Located in the Napa Auto Parts / Sugar River Bank parking lot on North Main St. Newport NH.

Mapquest claims it's an hour drive to Newport from Manchester. It's closer to 45 minutes. I've made the trip hundreds of times, it's a nice cruise up 89 followed by a nice time at a car show full of nice hotrods.

Carnutz is a bunch of hotrodders who don't discriminate against other types of cars and welcome everyone with open arms. They will be sending several cars to OUR Make A Wish car show this summer.

There is a food trailer and an ice cream trailer there. The prices are dirt cheap and part of the money goes to a charity. They also have some driver prizes and give out a "cruiser of the week" award, which Joe (catchinzees) won last fall with his 350z.

I know it's a long haul, but it is a good time and something different to do on a monday when you'd rather be out in the car instead of sitting on your ass at the brew!

Myself, Mike, and Brian, are definitely going tomorrow. We're meeting at my place at 4:45 and leaving by 5.

If anybody wants to come, let me know! We can pick up anybody further north anywhere on 89....

Really good time there last night. Handed out almost 70 fliers for our car show. Probably going back up next week on Monday and maybe Tuesday. Tuesday night they are having a club bbq and everyone is welcome.

The roads are all good Shawn. It's actually a really nice ride. A bit of a long one but a nice one.

Shawn, it's a 55 minute drive from Manchester with the cruise set at 67. No construction. Smooth roads 99% of the way. There is a 3/4-1 mile stretch where you'll have to keep your eyes open, but just from some frost heave leftovers.

Show goes from 6 to almost dark. We left the show, spent 20 minutes taking pictures, 10 minutes at the store, 6-8 minutes being pulled over, then went home and got my jacket... Then came to sullies.
