Description: After three years I've found a replacement car. As a consequence my Jeep Cherokee is up for sale. It's a 1998 Jeep Cherokee SE two door two wheel drive model with the AMC/Chrysler 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. When I bought it 3 years ago it has 45,000 miles on it,there's 51,000 on the odometer currently. It has power steering,A/C blows cold,heater works fine. I retrofitted a stock Chrysler AM/FM/Cassette and CD player with MP3 capability in place of the regular AM/FM radio.

The downside is the check engine light is on. I had it looked over previously at a Jeep dealer(they traced it to a fault in the wiring harness and fixed it) but the light came back on again(it might be due for a tune-up,I'll scan the code at AutoZone and update what the trouble code is). Also the Jeep will need new brakes soon(pads & rotors). The vehicle was a Southern car(previous owner lived in North Carolina)so it has very little rust. The vehicle will be stored at a secured location as the registration and plates are being transferred to the replacement vehicle.

KBB book value is at $1700 based on miles and condition. You're not gonna find a Jeep of this vintage in better shape anywhere in the U.S.-except maybe at the Walter P. Chrysler museum in Michigan.lol
